The journey to pallu

For Ayush Agnihotri, Pallu was never simply a business idea, it was a feeling that had quietly stayed with him since childhood.

Some of his earliest memories are of watching his mother drape her sarees, admiring every fold, every colour, and accompanying her as she chose sarees that would become part of family celebrations and cherished moments. Looking back, he realised those experiences had unknowingly shaped a lifelong appreciation for the elegance and emotion woven into every saree.

That feeling found its purpose in the winter of 2023.

While travelling through the weaving villages of Bengal, Ayush witnessed the extraordinary skill of artisans whose hands have carried India's weaving traditions across generations. Beyond the beauty of the fabric, he saw stories of patience, heritage, and craftsmanship that deserved to be celebrated by more people.

Pallu was born from that promise.

Not merely to create another saree label, but to become a meaningful bridge between India's master weavers and the women who appreciate timeless craftsmanship. Every collection is a tribute to the hands that weave, the traditions that endure, and the belief that preserving heritage begins with choosing it.

Today, Ayush continues to work closely with artisan communities, carrying forward a simple vision to ensure India's handwoven legacy is not only remembered but proudly worn and celebrated for generations to come.
